Personal trainer shares his 'cheats' for working out
If anyone is going to know how to hack your fitness game, it’s someone who has gone and done it already.
Dan Go, who has founded and sold a gym business, recently shared on Twitter the fitness tricks he wishes he’d known when he was younger and first exercising.
Now 43 years old, he’s learned a thing or two and wants to share this knowledge with the world – in the hope it will help others reach their fitness goals.
His tricks include counting backwards on repetitions, to trick the brain into finishing them, and only working out to failure 10% of the time.
In his opinion: ‘The better your sleep habits, the better you become.’
Getting to bed at night earlier will make morning workouts easier, and allow your muscles more time to recover.
Another important point to remember is the muscle-to-mind connection.
