Viennetta Ice Cream Cakes Are Coming Back to the U.S. After Almost 30 Years

Whether it’s Dunkaroos or 3D Doritos, it seems like everything old is new again. We’ve become accustomed to old treats coming back, but you might want to sit down for this SUPER exciting throwback news. Good Humor just announced they’re bringing back Vinnetta Ice Cream cakes, perhaps the most iconic and fanciest frozen treat of the ’80s and ’90s.

The chain tucked the news into a massive press release announcing everything from new Talenti flavors to a new Klondike donut, all of which is of course also VERY exciting, but when we saw the word “Viennetta,” we totally lost it. The brand says fans have been clamoring for its return for almost 30 years and we couldn’t be happier that they finally brought it back.

For those who weren’t around when this treat first hit popularity, it’s made with layers of ice cream and frozen chocolate for something that, as a kid, looked like it belonged on the table in a mansion. Now, it’s coming back in a classic Vanilla Viennetta combining a “wavy frozen vanilla base between crispy, decadent chocolate layers in a unique cake shape that is perfectly portioned for an entire family to share.”

Whether you loved this treat as a kid, want to surprise your parents with a little throwback, or always wanted to know what all the fuss was about back in the day, now is the perfect time to pick one of these up…well, maybe not exactly this second, but, um, keep an eye out on your next grocery run! These should be hitting shelves again soon!
