Firefly Health adds digestive care to telehealth network; eVisit unveils reporting dashboard

At HIMSS22, Firefly Health, a virtual-first healthcare company, has named Oshi Health, a virtual specialty care company specializing in gastrointestinal health, as its preferred partner for digestive care.

Digestive health issues include a wide-ranging set of symptoms and conditions that affect one in five working age adults in America and incur higher direct healthcare costs than heart disease, Firefly said. Its actual impact is likely far greater, as millions more patients go undiagnosed and indirect costs such as reduced workplace productivity are difficult to record, the company added.

Whole-person approach

“Digestive issues are among the most common complaints we see in our population, yet the solutions often miss the mark,” said Jeff Greenberg, co-founder and chief network officer at Firefly Health. “Oshi Health is a natural partner because of its whole-person approach.

“With Oshi, we are excited to move digestive healthcare from ongoing procedures and tests to longitudinal behavioral support,” he continued. “Together, we can transform the patient experience for the many people who are desperate for effective digestive health treatment.”

Oshi Health’s integrated GI care model aims to provide relief through evidence-based, whole-person care – including often-neglected dietary and psychosocial interventions – and can quickly achieve a diagnosis and guide individualized treatment.

Patients connect with specialized providers via telehealth visits, their care plan is continuously informed and refined by their symptoms, food and bowel movement monitoring, and a health coach provides daily messaging and support to make sustainable lifestyle changes.

A reporting dashboard

In other telemedicine news, eVisit, vendor of an enterprise virtual care delivery platform, has launched eAnalyze, a reporting dashboard that provides eVisit clients with data insights, including usage, wait times and other key adoption metrics.

It allows users to understand the performance of the eVisit platform and displays metrics in different user-friendly formats, such as graphs, tables and standalone statistics. The dashboard also provides brief descriptions to accompany its metrics to help new administrators better understand the visuals.

For healthcare providers, eVisit aims to help administrators identify the dynamics behind visit traffic, with a variety of visualizations, metrics and filter options. The dashboard also allows management to track visit data, with the aim of prompting proactive changes that can improve operational efficiency and help increase overall telehealth adoption.

During the testing period for eAnalyze, provider clients used the dashboard to improve the patient experience, examining areas of vulnerability and highlighting successes, as well. The dashboard, which delivers a longitudinal analysis of an organization, also can be helpful for scheduling and understanding when additional providers may be necessary to help keep wait times manageable.

Available to all

The standard eAnalyze dashboard is available to all eVisit clients.

“The healthcare industry is becoming increasingly data-driven, so provider organizations need reporting dashboards in their arsenal,” said Bret Larsen, CEO and co-founder of eVisit. “The eAnalyze dashboard is the latest product offering from eVisit that empowers healthcare providers with critical data to craft business strategies and track success.

“Initially, customers will use the dashboard in combination with our internal reporting tools to compare how visit counts, wait times and durations improve with virtual video appointments,” Larsen continued. “Its optimum use begins after a few months of visit history. The tool becomes more useful the more it is used.”

At HIMSS22, eVisit is in Booth 1909.
