However, the judge said in March “additional safeguards” may need to be built into the decision-making. NHS England said its “review group” would look at these potential safeguards to ensure decision-making follows a “robust process”. NHS England said its new watchdog would be temporary while it awaits the outcome of the review. It is not clear when this group will launch.
