“My doctor and my midwives are all saying that this baby’s gonna come faster [than my son, Brooks],” the Bachelor in Paradise alum, 33, said on the Thursday, August 27, “Mommies Tell All” podcast episode, referencing her 13-month-old’s emergency home birth in July 2019.
“I had Brooks in 60, 65 minutes,” the Bachelor alum told Carly Waddell. “So say I have a 40-minute labor, right? … I’m like, ‘Well, what if I go into labor, get in the car immediately, and then I have to wait for my COVID test and then I just deliver in triage? Like, I don’t want to deliver in triage!”

The Colorado native explained that her doctor will “have to know if [she’s] negative or positive” before admitting her. Roper joked, “It makes me just get that natural instinct to be like, ‘I’m just gonna go birth my baby in a field and y’all can just suck it.’”
The former reality star, who also shares her 3-year-old daughter, Emerson, with Tanner Tolbert, is not “mentally” ready to have three little ones at home, she went on to say.
“I’m gonna have a 3-year-old, a 15-month-old and a newborn,” the Naturally Jade Cosmetics creator explained. “Thinking about those days, I’ve totally accepted the fact that I’m gonna have to wear this baby literally everywhere.”
In addition to her mental preparation, Roper also doesn’t “have a lot of things” around the house for the baby-to-be. “I haven’t been doing a lot of buying or shopping,” the former ABC personality said.

She and Tolbert, also 33, announced in May that they were expecting baby No. 3. “HERE WE GROW AGAIN,” the pregnant star captioned a family photo at the time. “It feels so good to be able to finally talk about this pregnancy! If you noticed I haven’t been on social media much the past couple of months, it’s because I was dealing with terrible nausea and fatigue, on top of taking care of two kiddos during [the coronavirus] pandemic. Although this time has its uncertainties, we are so thankful and excited for this baby. I truly believe babies being born during this time are here for a special reason, to be light workers.”
