Austria returns to the mask of duty

Federal Chancellor of Austria, Sebastian Kurz, announced that he will introduce the Mask requirement, at least in part. Compared to the daily newspaper “Austria,” he said prior to discussions with health Minister Rudolf Anschober and Vice-Chancellor Werner Kogler: “We will discuss the areas in which we introduce the mask of duty.” Herbert Neubauer/APA/dpa

It is already clear that the mandatory mouth-nose protection for supermarkets in the whole of Austria is still to come next week again. Doctors chamber President Thomas Szekeres wants it in all public enclosed spaces. Parts of the catering and hospitality industry, however, fight back yet.
